People & skills

The glass manufacturing and innovation supply chain offers fascinating jobs in science, engineering, technology, health and safety, environmental management, business leadership, and of course in a wide range of professional and administrative roles.

Whether you join as a school leaver or a PhD graduate – glass can take you anywhere: from fast-paced, precision production at industrial scale, to niche and novel glass applications for fields such as medicine, defence and aviation.

Our sector’s progress and productivity rests on the skills of its employees. And British Glass – through its wider programme of work and events – enables sharing of expertise and ambition between traditional glass sectors and the emerging high tech industries.
