Viscosity Models For Fluorozirconate And Fluoroaluminate Glasses

The viscosities of some fluoride glass forming melts in the critical range where log eta = 5.5 P and the rate of crystallisation is high have been calculated using a model. The effect of composition on the activation energy for viscous flow is discussed particularly for fluorozirconate glasses.
