Use Of Spark-Source Mass Spectrometry For Analysis Of Glass Fragments Encountered In Forensic Applications Ii

Work is described in which 20 samples of window glass indistinguishable on the basis of refractive index and density were differentiated between by m.s. with an AEI MS 702 instrument operated with spark and accelerating potentials of 25 and 19.6kV, respectively. The trace metal isotopes studied were 140Ce,139La,137Ba,90Zr,86Sr,85Rb,59Mn,54Fe,51V,49Ti and 43Ca.
