Thermal Expansion Behaviour Of The Si3N4-Whisker-Reinforced Soda-Borosilicate Glass Matrix Composite

An abrupt increase in the coefficient of thermal expansion of a silicon nitride whisker-reinforced glass matrix composite is attributed to formation of cristobalite in the soda-borosilicate glass matrix.
