Theoretical Estimation Of The Possibility Of Glass Formation In Sulfate, Phosphate, And Sulfate-Phosphate Systems

The possibility of preparing glasses in sulfate, phosphate, and sulfate-phosphate systems is estimated from nine criteria of glass formation. It is shown that if these criteria concern only the first coordination sphere (i.e. the formation of PO4 and SO4 groups), glass formation in the systems should be considered possible.
