Temperature Dependence Of The Viscosity Of Chalcogenide Glass-Forming Melts

A procedure is proposed for extrapolating (up to boiling point) the temperature dependences of the viscosity of chalcogenide glass forming melts, measured in the softening temperature range. It is shown that calculated and experimental data obtained for a series of stoichiometric glass forming melts are in satisfactory agreement. The viscosity is calculated for the GeS2 melt, for which experimental data on viscosities of less than ~1016P are not available in the literature.
