Sub-Stoichiometric Determination Of Cobalt, Copper And Manganese In Glass And Glass-Making Materials By Radioactivation Analysis

The method which has been applied to Na2Co3, SiO2,CaCO3, Li2CO3, MgO and MgSO4 as well as to some N.B.S standard glasses, involves sub-stoichiometric extraction of Co (as a complex with 1-nitroso-2naphthol) into CHC13 at pH 6.2 Cu (as dithizonate) from weakly acid So1n. into CC14, and Mn (as tetraphenylarsonium pergmanganate) into CHC13 after oxidation.
