A study on the structure of tellurite glasses containing up to 10 mol% V205 or Ba0 respectively, as the secondary component, is accomplished by infrared spectral analysis using the so-called "stepwise reduction" method. The obtained reduced difference spectra suggest the formation of Te205 structural units upon introduction of 10 mol% V205, thus proving the co-vitrification effect of the latter. Addition of the same amount of Ba0 into Te02 glass network creates nonbridging Te-0 bonds and Te3+1 groups as intermediate units by the vitrification of the Ba0-Te02 compositions. Obtained results give additional confirmation of the previous conclusions about structure of the binary tellurite glass systems.
