Study On Mechanisms Of Glass Flow And Heat-Transfer Process In Float Glass Furnaces Using Computer 3-Dimensional Simulation And Graphics Generation

Based on the understanding of mechanisms of glass flow and heat transfer process in float glass furnaces, three-dimensional models have been established which show that glass flow and heat transfer, and the physical parameters of the glass fluid have been forumated. Boundary conditions have also been determined in the light of the practical situation. The SIMPLER method has been applied to calculate both temperature and velocity fields in float glass furnaces.
