Structure Of Tempering Glass Surface

The structure of float glass surface after annealing and tempering has been investigated by the methods based on local X-ray microanalysis. The distribution of elements along the glass surface and the energetic stations of Na and Si in the surface layers were analysed. The scanning of local surface microanalysis showed that the glass tempering was a cause of segregation of chemical elements along the surface. Energetic positions of Na and Ca in the structure were determined from the kinetics of ion migration under the action of electron beam during the time of irradiation of the samples.
