Spectroscopic Studies On The Structure Of Vanadium Tellurite Glasses

In the past few years, tellurite glasses have increased in interest due mainly to their pronounced nonlinear optical properties as well as to their potential as a promising material for fibre amplifiers. In this paper, glasses having the compositions xV205.(1-x)Te02 with x=0.04, 0.1, 0.18 and 0.25 were studied by means of optical absorption (UV-VIS-NIR) infrared, Raman and electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopies.
