The differences between the temporary and the permanent strains are explained. The author gives a review of the practical technological annealing methods the equations for the highest and for the suitable annealing rates and the practical annealig schedule. In a table the annealing constants for five industrially melted glasses are presented with a practical example of the calculation of the annealing schedule.
