Russian Refractories

Declining refractory output is not just a symptom of the Russian refractories industry but is also paralleled throughout Europe. While refractory companies have responded to reduced consumption inthe key sectors of metals, cement, glass and chemicals by cutting back production, they have also taken many steps to evolve their product base. The St Petersburg Institute for Refractories has been collaborating with the key companies in the Russian refractories world to regulate product consistency, design new products and invest in new technologies.
