The Rpr Process For Repairing Silica Lining In Glass Furnaces (In French)

Hot repair is now a "must" for relining glass furnace superstructures. FIB Services promotes its process "Reactive Projection for Repair (RPR)" which leads to repairs with a high compatibility with the initial masonry. Silica based repair material exhibits very interesting properties such as corrosion resistance much better than these of new and used bricks of the initial building. Pilot scale and industrial results hereafter have demonstrated that the proposed process is suitable for increasing glass furnace life for several years.
