Quantification Of Periodic Properties In The Microstructural Analysis Of Materials

The statistical autocorrelation function is a powerful tool in classifying and quantifying microstructures with periodic properties. A simple and fast image analysis algorithm, herein called as the image autocorrelation, is revisited. The results of the image autocorrelation function (IACF) are compared with those of the conventional computational autocorrelation function (CACF).
