Preparation Of Hollow Silica Glass Fibre Membranes By Selective Corrosion Using Hydrofluoric Acid Solution

Silica was corroded selectively by hydrofluoric acid solution through a porous was membrane and a hollow silica glass fibre membrane was obtained. SEM measurements showed that inhomogenous pores with a diameter of 5-50 um were present through the wall of the hollow glass fibre membrane.
