Preparation And Characterisation Of Superionic Li2S-Sis2-Li4Ge04 Glasses

Superionic glasses in the system (0.6LiS.o.4SiS2)-Li4GeO4 were prepared by rapid quenching. The temperature difference between glass transition and crystallisation, which was one of the measures of glass stability against crystallisaiton, was maximised at 5mol% Li4GeO4. The conductivity values at 25 deg C were maximised and activation energies for conduction minimised at the composition with 5 mol% Li4GeO4.
