Newest Float Glass Plant

The Ford Motor Company's plant at Dearborn, Michigan, which was opened in April 1967 is described briefly. The factory produces 1/8" glass for laminated windscreens at a rate of 300 tons per year day and the entire plant is controlled by a digital computer system. Closed circuit T.V cameras are used for inspection of the glass melting process.
