Nd3+ Fluorescence In Alkili Borate Glasses.

The absorption and the fluorescence properties of Nd3+ in alkali borate glasses change with alkali oxide concentration. An infection in these relations appears around 24% (mole) M2O. The Nd3+ fluorescence decay time in alkali borates is apparently independent of M2O concentration and alkali metal ion size.
