Molten Glass Flows In The Working-End And In The Throat Of An All Electric Tank Furnace With 4 Gathering Holes And The Output Of 4 Tons A Day

The model experiments gave the possibility to determine the flow pattern in the working-end. The molten glass have a decisive effect on the the product quality. A rapid regeneration of the glass bath is required in order to reduce the selective volatilisation and to enable the glass maker to gather always a new fresh glass. The desired requirements were fulfilled by means of a large throat and vertical barrier wall which separated the throat and the working end in the longitudinal axis. Inclined external wall of working end prevented the formation of stagnant zones molten glass.
