This paper develops a finite element model of coupled thermomechanical systems in two dimensions subject to large deformation and general boundary conditions. Drawing inspiration from the industrial blow glass process, the model seeks a systematic approach in implementing boundary conditions. As such, the constraint forcing term is obtained via projections into the range space of the constraint matrix. The technique is illustrated with a simulation example.
