Microstructural And Analytical Characterisation Of Some Commercial And Experimental Mineral Glass Fibres

Mineral fibres obtained from low cost raw materials such as igneous rocks and various slag materials can be used in several applications, e.g. acoustic and thermal insulation, cement reinforcement and as synthetic soil for plant growing. In this paper, six types of mineral wool properties were investigated, and an experimental sample made with basalt of the Canary Islands.
