Innovative Bushing Technology

The manufacture of continuous glassfibre requires the use of a rhodium/platinum component called a bushing, which has numerous precisely shaped orifices, called jets or tips, through which the fibres are drawn. This paper describes methods of producing bushings, including a novel technique from Japan.
