Glass Fibres For Lighting Systems

Glass fibres supplied by a small number of light sources can be used effectively for distrubuted lighting of inaccessible areas, to form colour controllable lighting zones, for lighting strips or for guidance systems within a 10-20 metre distribution limit. This paper looks at the background to glass optical fibres and the breadth of applications available.
