Gaseous Release During Glass Melting (In French)

The glass melting process involves several physical phenomena and chemical reactions, after which the glass may contain gaseous inclusions of varying nature. In order to obtain a glass free of bubbles (refined), it is necessary to comprehend these phenomena and run the process under suitable conditions allowing for bubble removal. In this paper a brief review of the main physical phenomena taking part in the glass refining process are presented.
