Gas Filling Of Insulated Glass Units: Analysis Of The Critical Points (In Italian)

Regulation 311/06 prescribes continuously lower Ug-values. High-performance requirements involve the set-up of insulating glazing filled with gas which has an adequate level of concentration. In order to avoid gas leakage & a deterioration of insulating performance, it is essential to adopt suitable structural technology. Furthermore, the quality & correct utilization of materials must be guaranteed. Finally, accurate control of the production process has to be carried out using appropriate systems. Compulsory gas concentration control (Ci) on the final product guarantees the efficiency of the process. The level of gas concentration must stay within tolerance limits of +10%-5% compared to the value declared by the producer (Ci,O) which is the reference value used to calculate Ug thermal transmittance. During inspections which fall under UNI marking, gas concentration is measured before and after the ageing test.
