Forsterite Ceramics Based On Sol-Gel Powders

The sol-gel method is used to obtain highly dispersed sintering-active forsterite powders. These powders were used to produce sufficiently strong and dense ceramics without additives at a firing temperature of 1350 deg C, however, full sintering of forsterite is hampered by intense recrystallisation.
