Flow Equations In Understood Zones Of Continuous Glass Furnaces (In French)

By expressing the laws of the conservation of matter and motion for an elementary cube traversed by a continuously flowing material a system of three non linear partial differential equations is derived. This system of equations can be applied to the flow of glass in a continuous glass melting furnace in any undisturbed zone such as that at the end of the refining zone, regardless of the type of furnace or the process employed for drawing flat glass.
