Er 2001 Slz: Very Low Exudation Azs Product For Glass Furnace Superstructure

Exudation of AZS superstructure refractories (due to temperature and aggressive running conditions reducing atmosphere) can have an impact on the glass quality by enhancing superstructure run down. This phenomenon could involve glass defect formation such as vitreous enriched alumina defects with or without secondary zirconia crystals. In order to prevent superstructure glass defect, a new AZS product with a very low exudation level at high temperature has been developed, as explained in this paper.
