Effect Of Pressure Fluctuations In The Melter Of A Glass Furnace On Surface Foam Formation.

The change in rates of bubble formation, rise though the glass, and subsequent bursting, for a small change in furnace pressure are considered and it is concluded that the effects are small. However, a small change in temperature leads to a very large change in the rate of bubble formation.
