Crystallisation studies of glass samples {50 mol% V205-25 mol% BaO-(25-x)mol% ZnO-x mol% CuO} where x=1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, were conducted by the use of differential scanning calorimetry and X-ray diffraction techniques. The kinetics of the crystallisation phase transformation was investigated by isothermal condition using JMAK equation for interpretation and inferring crystallisation mechanisms from the results of such experiment. Based on the DSC results the fraction of crystallisation was determined at holding temperatures 420, 430, 440 and 540 deg C for each sample. Also, the activation energy, E, for growth, the Avrami exponent, n, and frequency, v, were calculated. The results of the activation energy of these glass samples showed that, it depends on the influence of the copper to the glass network and the bond strengths.
