Effect Of Air Inflows On The Operation Of A Port-Regenerator System

Measurements have been made to determine the nature of the temperature distribution on the outside walls of an 11-tonne/day furnace fired on natural gas. Pressure fluctuations were also determined in regenerators, ports and uptakes. The effect of thermally insulating the port/regenerator system is discussed.
