Effect Of Adding Lead Compounds On Properties Of Sn-Cl-P-O Glasses

Low melting Sn-Cl-P-0 glasses with glass transition temperature Tg=17-240 have been prepared. The effect of Pb0 or PbCl2 addition on the properties of these glasses have also been determined. Lead compounds decrease the dissolution rate in water and thermal expansion coefficient while increasing the density, hardness, glass transition temperature and softening temperature.
