Corrosion And Surface Effects Of Glass Fibre In Biological Fluids

Unlike many more durable materials, glass fibre is susceptible to attack and corrosion by body fluids. Moreover, the rates of degradation are sufficiently high that they are relevant to human lifespans. Perhaps, this is the key reason why glass fibre to date has not shown significant evidence of long term adverse reaction in the lungs of humans.
