Chemical Corrosion Study Of Glass Fibres

FRP based on polyester, epoxy or vinly ester resin are used in many industrial applications because of their good corrosion resistance compared to materials made with metals and/or concrete. It is recoognized that the lifetime of the FRP is the combined effects of an applied load - tension, bending and the presence of a corrosive environment. Therefore, it is critical to consider the design, fabrication, material selection and installation procedures of FRP materials for their service life. This report intends to discuss these factors and compare test results of ECRGLAS and E-glass.
