Characterisation Of Emissions And Energy Balances In Furnaces

Co-financed by the EU's LIFE programme, the PRIME Glass Project began in 2014, aimed at the industrial-scale development and implementation of two primary techniques, capable of reducing NOx emissions released into the atmosphere by fuel-fired regenerative glass melting furnaces. In this article the authors discuss the PRIME Glass project's contribution to the improvement of methodologies for the characterisation of emissions and energy balances in glass melting furnaces.
