Can Water In Glass Influence The Workability And The Properties Of Industrial Glass? (In Italian)

This paper describes the research performed at SSV in order to quantify water in industrial glasses, to understand the conditions controlling the amount of dissolved as a function of melting conditions and to evaluate its effects on the physico-chemical properties, melting and forming. The results obtained and the numerous international contacts set up in order to validate them are illustrated.
