Calculation Of Convection Flows In Glass Tanks

Among the causes of flow in melting tanks are uneven heating and expansion of the glass, which produces the flow under the influence of gravity. Several simple cases were calculated numerically by a different method. The results for large Rayleigh numbers show boundary layer behaviours, but the method beaks down for very large values of the parameters.
