Apparatus For Making Flat Glass Sheets.

Glass sheet is formed by measuring a quantity of fluid glass into a travelling mould, where it is spread and shaped by gravity and surface tensions. The surface is then levelled, fire polished, and cooled on a bath of molten metal in a series of compartments or zones, under controlled temperatures.
