Leeds' Spectronic Camspec has provided equipment for a new facility at Teesside University

British Glass member Spectronic Camspec has provided equipment for a brand new, state of the art laboratory facility at Teesside University.

The Leeds based firm supplied a number of CamSpec UV-Vis M501 and M550 spectrophotometers to the ‘National Horizons’ analytical bioscience super-lab.

Opened in spring 2019 and located in Central Park, Darlington, the centre of excellence offers research, teaching and training to facilitate the growing needs of the budding bioscience industry.

The National Horizons centre also functions as a space for collaborative research and innovation for the students to uncover potential breakthroughs in the industry.

As part of the instillation, Spectronic Campsec also provided training on the equipment on the accompanying PC software to professors and academics from Teesside University.
