British Glass and the FISSAC sustainability project join the first ever global conference next month aimed at helping the construction industry cut waste and increase its recycling.

The first international ‘Conference on Construction Circular Economy’ will be hosted at the University of Manchester on 8 and 9 July.

Together with Arup’s Graeme DeBrincat, British Glass and FISSAC will present a view of glass waste in the construction sector and current best practice to drive more glass to recycling.

They will be alongside world-renowned academics and construction industry experts looking at tackling technical problems and how to make recycling a prominent part of the construction industry.

Partners in the conference include the Universities of Exeter and Bradford, the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, and Innovate UK.
