Glass showcased at the Lord Mayor’s Show

The International Year of Glass was celebrated at this year’s Lord Mayor’s show this past weekend (12 November).

Thanks to a contribution from British Glass and other members of the glass industry, the Worshipful Company of Glass Sellers were part of the parade around the streets of London. 

The many uses of glass in our society were on show with the costumes of those on the carriage. 

British Glass CEO Dave Dalton said: 

“We were delighted to contribute towards the Lord Mayor’s show this year and it was great to use this opportunity to not only highlight how vital glass is to our everyday lives but to also celebrate the International Year of Glass. 

“I would like to extend my thanks to the Worshipful Company of Glass Sellers for their hard work in organising and being a part of the parade.”
