Glass Sellers school charity appeal

Glass collection rates across Europe have risen to a record 76%

The Worshipful Company of Glass Sellers are appealing to British Glass members to join them in their efforts to support schools in their local area as part of the International Year of Glass.

Through the work of their charity arm, the Glass Sellers have been funding primary school STEM projects in areas such as Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, and ICT and are now offering members the chance to join them in their charitable efforts.

They are asking members to nominate a single school or group of schools in their surrounding areas to put together a STEM project/have an ongoing STEM project with the possibility of co-funding the activities with the Glass Sellers.

The projects can range from new science equipment to helping school children study space programmes, as is the case for a group of 17 schools based in Cornwall, and everything in between.

Members wanting to nominate schools to work with should contact Chairman of the Charity Trustees Leigh Baildham (leighbaildham@me.com) or Barbara Beadman (brbeadman@yahoo.co.uk) for further details on the funding.
