British Glass member and luxury glass maker Cumbria Crystal has taken a starring role in the film version of Downton Abbey – the movie.
The film version of the popular British period drama unveiled its promotional material with a piece of the Ulverston-based brand’s collection taking centre stage in both the poster and the trailer.
Cumbria Crystal has been extensively featured in the TV series since it first aired in 2010 as well as other high profile films such as the 21st James Bond film Casino Royale.
Chris Blade, CEO of Cumbria Crystal, said he was “delighted” when he learned their products were being used again.
“We are delighted that the Cumbria Crystal ‘Grasmere’ collection will be used for formal dining in the forthcoming Downton Abbey film which is due for release in September.
“The collection featured prominently in every series to date and the exposure has helped it maintain its popularity as our most sought after collection.”
The British Glass member also features heavily in Downton Abbey: The Exhibition that is currently travelling across America and gives fans a glimpse into the fashion, history and culture of the show.
“The most recent exhibition opened in Boston in July and is helping the company extend its reputation to America,” said Chris.
“An official Downton Abbey cocktail book will be launched soon which beautifully showcases a number of the Cumbria Crystal collections.”
