After two years of rising prices, zircon demand is now much closer to the available supply. Longer term prices will stabilise at much higher levels than have been seen historically, dut to a combination of factors, namely supply and a lack of substitutes in major markets. This article examines the current supply situation and the future scenario when proposed projects come to fruition. It will then briefly review zircon demand to outline its future prospects.
