Arc International have selected Zippe to supply the batch plant for its new tableware glass plant at Ras al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates. Zippe's task was to install a fully automated plant on a small floor space supplying batch to feed Arc's 150/tpd furnace. The small ground area available for the batch plant dictated that it should be built in compact tower form. Raw materials are loaded into steel plate silos using pneumatic equipment. Zippe is currently carrying out a wide range of batch plant projects in the glassmaking sector. In Ukraine, it is expanding the batch plant at Consumers Sklo Zorya to handle 700/tpd. In Italy, Zippe is modernising the control system at the SG Vetrotex fibre plant at Vado Ligure. The 715/tp18h batch plant for San Miguel Yamamura's enlarged bottle plant in the Philippines is being provided by Zippe.
