New European Standards for bullet-resistant glass will have much stricter requirements for reduced spalling on the protected side of security screens. In response to such measures a range of new bullet-resistant composites has been developed which successfully eliminates spall and reduces the required thicknesses of protective screens, claims J Bush, Technical Director of Romag Security Laminators Ltd.
