[Yemen] New Factory To Be Built

Plans are underway to build Yemen's first flat glass factory. The factory, which would have annual production of around 44,000/tpa, is expected to cost in the region of US$ 40M and the project is forecast to start in the second half of 2008. German firm, GSG is providing consultation services. The factory is expected to export around 25% of its production to the African Horn & Gulf areas.
