World'S Largest Single Forming Machines

O-I fired up the furnace at its new plant in Windsor, Colorado, last autumn & is the first new US glass container plant to be built in nearly 25y. The new plant is a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility & O-I leveraged the best in technology from its plants around the world & invested US$140M to develop the plant, which produces in excess of 3M 12-oz beer bottles/day for an Anheuser-Busch filling plant nearby. It employs around 200 people. The plant runs on natural gas. The forming & inspection machinery, including the single largest glass-forming machines in the world, was manufactured by O-I using proprietary technology. With only 6 months of production time since start-up, the Windsor facility already ranks as one of O-I;s top 10 plants, of 83 globally in productivity, pack-to-melt ratio, and product quality.
