World'S Largest Flint Container Furnace Is Back In Business

United Glass' Alloa plant can again boast the largest white flint container furnace in the world. Continuous programme of furnace rebuild and machinery upgrades culminated last summer with the reconstruction of 85 furnace at a cost of £8.2m. The investment will enable UG to meet increased demand well into the next century.
